On-Site Insurance Physical Examination
All insurance companies require a “mini physical” which are exams to obtain a policy. The insurance exam is completed by a licensed examiner who will contact you to set an appointment at your convenience. The exam can be completed at your home or office. The exam consists of a blood and urine sample, height and weight check, blood pressure measurement and a detailed review of your medical history. On some occasions, an electrocardiogram (ECG) may be required depending upon the insurance company.
Professional Caregiver Support
We assist in the development or training for caregivers in the professional world, building nursing homes and assisted living. We offer the most current evidence-based training to certify caregivers as approved by the South Dakota Board of Nursing.
Alzheimer’s Disease is one of the most expensive diseases in the nation. In South Dakota, Alzheimer’s Disease ranks no.2 in the nation for death – attributed to Alzheimer’s diseases based on www.alz.org
We conduct preventive health screenings that focus on heart disease, cardiovascular disease and stroke.
Blood Pressure Clinic
We can facilitate group health assessments, blood pressure check and general health education or access to helpful resources.
On-site, we can administer pneumonia vaccines and influenza vaccines especially during the flu season. We have well-trained nurses who can carry out these preventive health measures at more affordable costs.
A paramedical exam consists of some questions about your medical history, measurements of your height and weight, blood pressure and pulse. A urine specimen is also collected. Undressing is not required and the exam usually lasts 20 to 30 minutes. Your application for insurance is not complete until we have obtained this necessary information.
We provide a full line of paramedical and skilled nursing as well as physical examination services for the insurance underwriting process. Our affiliation with the states’ top examination, medical, diagnostic testing and data collection providers allow approval to do testing for all business corporations and insurance companies statewide. This process is timely and uncomplicated.
All of the information obtained during the paramedical examination is strictly confidential and for insurance purposes only. It will be forwarded to the insurance company for review to help evaluate your individual policy.
A urine specimen will be collected during a paramedical exam. The tests done are determined by the insurance company and are performed in a laboratory. The test results will be sent only to the insurance company and are used in the underwriting process.
Each individual insurance company selects the tests they need for the underwriting procedure. We are requested only to collect and prepare blood for analysis; the insurance company gives instructions to the lab regarding specific tests. You are required to sign a consent form and a chain-of-custody form for your own protection.
